Almost everything we know, we learned on the web.
The biggest trick is asking the right questions. Hereís where to start:
- Visualize the step by step process you are trying to accomplish (dial-up to the Internet, browse a web page, receive your email, etc)
- Describe which steps your computerís actions are deviating from the appropriate actions.
- Are there any error messages?
Write those down word for word.
Most often there is a number or code included in an error message.
Searching the web will usually yield several sources that give descriptions of what caused the error, and how to fix it.
